Welcome
to Broadbridge Heath Cricket Club....

Bradman play a straight drive
Cricket's a simple game so what's your excuse?
Saturday, 17th
April 2004....Bangers and Mash!
Join club friends for a pre-season get together
at the Malt Shovel for Steve's famous bangers and
mash and onion gravy and maybe the odd pint or several.
Suggestions....
If you have any suggestions as to
what other information you would like displayed, feel
free to make them. Someone suggested player's batting
and bowling averages? This is 'doable', but someone
would have to drop the score books to the webmaster.
Do you really want to do this? Let me know your views.
robpine1@vodafone.net
Your
Email addresses....
To maximise
the communications potential of your web site it would
be useful if club members let the webmaster know their
email address. In due course this could help the Committee
to circulate club information by email and to save
on postage costs. It will also help members to stay
in touch with each other - both midweek and post season.
If you'd like your email address added to the list
just 'ping' Rob Pine at: robpine1@vodafone.net
N.B.
Member's Email addresses would be put in a members
only section which is password protected. However,
key Club Officials who are likely to be contact points
for other clubs should have their email address published.
About Broadbridge
Heath Cricket Club
Broadbridge Heath Cricket Club was established
in 1898. Today, we are a thriving, well supported
and fun Cricket Club. We extend a warm welcome to
anyone interested in playing village cricket at its
best.
We believe that all members should
have the opportunity to play a real part in the Club,
both on and off the field, so that everyone has the
chance to get the enjoyment they are looking for.
To this end we have a full list of social
events and we pride ourselves in being a Club
where all of the family are welcome.
Colts Cricket
The Club has three thriving Colts
Sections and we persue a very active youth
development policy for boys and girls.
Inlike many villages, Broadbridge Heath
Village has seen a steady increase in the pool of
youngsters available to play cricket. This year BBHCC
has teams for Under 12s, 14s and 16 year age groups.
This year they will play in two leagues,
the Identilam League where matches have a 9.00 am
start and the North and Mid Sussex evening League
where matches start at 6.00pm.
Many of your young cricketers now play
for our senior sides, and some have gone on to play
for Horsham Cricket Club who play in the Premier Division
of the Sussex County Cricket League.
Colts cricket training takes place on
[****day] evenings, so don't be shy - just come on
by!
Saturday
League Cricket
iFor those who enjoy a competative edge to the game,
on Saturdays Broadbridge Heath CC's 1st
XI and 2nd
XI play in Division 4 of the West Sussex Invitation
League.
Sunday Cricket
/ Midweek Cricket
On Sundays
(and in midweek)
our cricket is played in a more relaxed and friendly
way. We play against a number of local and touring
sides. It is a testament to our hospitality and our
idyllic country gound that we are visited repeatedly
by many teams.
Evening
Cricket
We play evening '20/20 style' cricket in
the keenly contested Mirfield
Cup knock out competition.
Indoor Cricket
And for those of you that think nearly
eight months without cricket is much too long, we
play indoor cricket
in a local league.
The Cricket
Tour
The highlight of our season has to be
our tour.
Over the years we have visited most parts of the country,
and this year we are off to Bristol.
Where are we?
/ Ground Location
Broadbridge Heath Village lies just to the West of
Horsham and the A24. The
ground is situated in Byfleets Lane on the
North side of BBH, along the Warnham Road behind the
tennis courts. Turning into Byfleets Lane the ground,
clubhouse and car park are on the right.
Make OUR
Club YOUR Club
If you enjoy your cricket, why not make
the Summer of 2003 one to remember by turning 'Our
Club' into 'Your Club'?
