26th June BBH 2nd XI v Wisborough Green 2ndXI
BBHCC 2's skipper John Baker won the toss and asked
the visitors to bat. BBH bowled well to restrict the
visitors to 159 for 6 wickets. In reply BBH found
runs hard to come by and they finished on 125 for
8. The points were shared at 4 each. BBH slip from
the top of the league, but it's tight with BBH on
117 points behind Ram 2 (124 points) and Eastergate
2 (126 points). Come on you seconds!
Saturday,
19th June BBH 2nd XI v Eastergate 2ndXI
BBHCC 2nd XI are this week's star performers as they
propelled themselves to the top of their league, (Div
4, 2nd XI), by making short work of Eastergate.
John Baker won the toss and invited
the home team to bat. They were soon bowled out for
the paltry total of 62. Grant Ovington was in no mood
to let Eastergate get away and bowled 9 overs for
a miserly 9 runs whilst picking up 2 wickets. With
the bat Steve Johnson finished with 22 not out.
Saturday,
5th June BBH 2nd XI v Rustington
Visitors Rustington struggled to a total of 125 for
7 wickets against a fine opening spell of bowling
by Grant Ovington who bowled five overs for only five
runs. The wickets were shared between David Bridges,
John Baker and Matt Baker.
In reply, the BBH lost Damien Cashinella
early, but Justin McKernan and Martin Flack batted
brightly with both giving the bad ball a good thump.
The result was never in doubt with John
Baker joining Grant Ovington to ease BBH home with
plenty of overs to spare.
