1st XI gain promotion to Div 3 for 2005 season!
BBH were at home to Wisborough Green and continued their rich vein of form. Richard Bell lost the toss and BBH were inserted on a damp pitch. There were some anxious faces as the ball swung about and nipped off the pitch. But steady batting laid the foundation for a good score. A huge six from Richard Bell took BBH over the 200 mark and secured maximum batting points.

In reply 'Green were soon in trouble at 30 for 5 and were quickly all out with Matt Shuttlewood and Craig Donaldson doing the damage. BBH gained a maximum points of 30 - enough to secure promotion for next year. Congratulations!

Saturday, 26th June 1st XI v Wisbrough Green....
BBH were away to Wisborough. The home side won the toss and batted first and were all out for 143 of 32 overs. BBH reached 144 for six, so winning by a margin of four wickets. BBH's maximum points score of 30 propells them to the top of Divison 4. But, it's tight at the top with the top four clubs being separated by a mere 10 points. BBH will be looking to stretch their lead. Congratulations on your top place!

Saturday, 12th June 1st XI v Ram....
BBHCC were keen to make it four back to back wins. With the league leaders having a rest day, maximum points would put BBH on top of the league.

Richard Bell won the toss and decided to bat first in an aggressive move designed to gain full points from the game.

Against a quick attack from one end and numerous bouncers, openers Matt Shuttlewood and Nigel Baker had a torrid time. Despite this they scored at a good rate and BBH were 55 off the first ten overs and the foundation for a big total had been established. Nigel Baker was out for a fluent 20, but Matt Shuttlewood went on to a great 50. He then advanced down the track to hoist Ram's off spinner over long on for an enormous 6. Matt eventually fell for 66.

Matt enjoyed good support from Olly Carter, (20), and Neil Charman, (27). Richard Bell saw that maximum batting points and a total of 228 was posted by striking a quick fire 33.

In reply, Richard Bell picked up four wickets to reduce Ram to 100 for 5. When a further wicket fell things BBH looked to be in a strong position to win the game. However, Ram's Parmod had other ideas, cracking 5 fours and 2 sixes to give Ram an outside chance of an unlikely win if they could maintain a scoring rate of 8 an over.

When Parmod was bowled by Craig Ronaldson the game swung back in favour of BBH. However, they were frustrated by Amman who at only sixteen years old showed skill and courage beyond his years to secure the draw with Ram having lost eight wickets.

Saturday, 5th June 1st XI v Rustington....
BBHCC travelled to Rustington where they won the game by the comfortable margin of seven wickets.

BBHCC restricted Rustington to a total of 85 runs. Only two bowlers were used with Jamie Collis swinging the ball prodigeously. Jamie claimed six victims, five of whom were clean bowled. At the other end skipper Richard Bell picked up four wickets.

BBHCC knocked off the runs for the loss of three wickets with the game being over by 5.30pm, so the team were back in time to see the second XI win their game.

This was the third victory on the trot for the first XI.
